1964 - Founded by Franklin W. "Bud" Held, developing an aluminum tennis racquet and racquet stringing machine in San Diego, California.
1969 - Officially incorporates in San Diego.
1970 - Makes the first experimental racquet for Bud Muehleisen, one of the first legends of the sport.
1971 - Introduces the Magnum: the first high-strength aluminum alloy racquet.
1978 - Introduces the 250G: the first hand laid composite racquet.
1980 - Ektelon introduces the CBK with advanced carbon, boron and kevlar materials to create a revolutionary racquet.
1982 - Pro tour player, Dave Peck, becomes the #1 Men's Pro Tour Champion.
1984 - Ektelon introduces the Contra racquet and MACRO Series: the first oversized aluminum racquets.  Ektelon pro Lynn Adams completes the unprecedented feat of going undefeated for the entire year.
1985 - Introduces the Toron: the first oversize graphite racquet.

 
1986 - Pro Mike Yellen wins his 5th straight Professional Tour title.
1987 - Acquired by Prince Manufacturning, Inc.
1988 - Ruben Gonzalez became the oldest player to finish #1 on tour.

1989 - Introduces the Mirada racquet with RTS; a unique tapered design and advanced composite materials.

Michelle Gillman-Gould completes an undefeated grand slam season, capturing every major national and international title and is named Athlete of the Year.

 
1993 - Ektelon introduces the Allusion: the first ultra-lightweight racquet that removes weight around the entire length of the frame.

1994 - Introduces Arc2: a patented technology designed to add stiffness, stability, accuracy and control to racquetball racquets.

Ektelon headquarters are relocated to New Jersey to consolidate operations and synergize manufacturing and promotions with Prince.

1995 - Ektelon develops Power Web: a revolutionary patented technology to dramatically change string bed to extend main string length to their longest point, improving racquet power by more than 25%.
1999 - Ektelon introduces Triple Threat® technology. Woven titanium, cooper and carbon are positioned in three critical locations of the new Deliverance racquet.

2000 - Pro Ruben Gonzalez is inducted into the USRA Hall of Fame.

2001 - Pros Mike Guidry and Ruben Gonzalez win the Ektelon National Doubles Championships for the second time in three years.

2002 - Andy Roberts is inducted into the USRA Racquetball Hall of Fame.

 
2003 - Ektelon becomes the Founding Sponsor of the World Outdoor Racquetball (WOR). Ektelon signs racquetball legend John Ellis to a player/consultant contract.
  2005 -  Legends Dan Obremski, Jerry Hilecher, and Steve Strandemo are inducted into the USRA Hall of Fame. Ektelon introduces the O3 Red with the revolutionary new O3 technology.
  2006 - Signs women's professional Rhonda Rajsich and she finishes the WPRO season as the #1 Player in the World! Kane Waselenchuk finishes the IRT season as the #1 ranked player in the world for the third consecutive season.
2007 - Ektelon introduces the O3 RG, named after legend Ruben Gonzalez. Ruben is featured as Geezer Jock player of the year. Ektelon introduces the O3 White and O3 Copper becoming the first customizable frames in the sport.
2008 - Rhonda Rajsich finishes #1 on the WPRO tour and wins her third consecutive title in a row. Rocky Carson finishes the season ranked #1, marking the 4th time in five years an Ektelon player has finished the IRT season as the champion of men's pro racquetball.
2009 - Mexico's Paola Longoria becomes the most dominant player in women's racquetball finishing the season #1 on the WPRO tour while winning the US Open and the WOR Championships. Ektelon introduces EXO3 technology. Former Ektelon player Ed Andrews is inducted into the Hall of Fame and Brian Hawkes is recognized as "The Greatest Outdoor Racquetball Player of All Time".
2010 - Aimee Ruiz wins her sixth consecutive Women's National Open Doubles championship and seventh Mixed Doubles title. She is named National Female Athlete of the Year by USRA.
2011- Ektelon re-signs Ruben Gonzalez to a new five year deal and announces his Farewell Tour and launch of new signature racquet, EXO3 RG Toron. Ektelon also signs five time #1 player Sudsy Monchik as an advisor/consultant.
